The Office of Finance is the source for all financial information, training, reports, and policies at Rice University. The Budget Office at Rice University supports the Rice community through sound budget planning, analysis, and management. The Controller's Office helps to properly record all appropriate financial transactions of the University in a timely manner and to design processes, procedures, and systems to safeguard the University's financial resources. Rice University has established a university-wide Ethics and Compliance Program as part of our commitment to our values and standards of conduct.

Internal audit is an independent, objective assurance and consulting activity designed to add value and improve an organization's operations. It helps an organization accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes. The Office of Institutional Effectiveness's mission is to collaborate with Rice University’s academic, administrative and educational support units to identify expected outcomes for educational programs and administrative and educational support services. The Office of Institutional Research provides data, metrics, and dashboards as well as reports and analyses supporting decision-making at Rice. The office also is responsible for carrying out external reporting requirements.
