Dear friends,
I continue to be grateful for the time and information which so many of you have generously shared with me.
I know that you all are eager to begin our work together in our newly created division. I am right there with you. I am eager to learn more about your perspectives, concerns, and aspirations for the future. Beginning the week of September 19, I will be hosting "Coffee and Conversation." This will be an opportunity to share your perspective, ask questions, and get to know each other better. I know these conversations will help us learn more about one another and how we can work together to impact positive change. Next week we will include a sign-up link as space will be limited for these conversations.
This week I continued my focus to meet one-on-one with leaders throughout campus and within our team. I have learned much about the great work we do in Finance and Administration. I have gained a deeper understanding of the iO initiative, both what is working and where we have room to improve the experience for the campus community. Finally, I began preparing for our upcoming Board of Trustees meeting later this month. A lot is going on for many folks as we prepare for the meeting.
I also learned about the many events that Hollie Evans helps the campus navigate. We have an extraordinary campus event on September 10 that will celebrate the 60th Anniversary of President John F. Kennedy's speech launching our mission to the moon. Hollie is looking for thousands of volunteers to help us create a unique "space selfie" picture in collaboration with the International Space Station. Please sign-up using this link if you’re interested in joining the fun.
I hope everyone enjoys a long weekend spending time with family and friends.
Respectfully,
Kelly Fox Vice President for Finance and Administration
