Dear colleagues,
As we approach the end of the semester and the end of 2022, I can’t help but reflect on how thankful I am for your dedication and commitment to Rice. I feel blessed to have joined such a strong community and appreciate everyone’s time bringing me up to speed on our priorities, initiatives, and opportunities. I have learned a lot, and I know there is much more to come.
As we look to 2023, we will continue focusing on supporting our community and our ambitious goals. I am eager to begin several new priorities that many of you have been waiting for, including launching our budget transformation and further developing our culture of commitment. Please enjoy your winter break, including the extra day, Friday, December 23, that was generously given to us all by President DesRoches. Enjoy time with family and friends, and please find time to recharge during this break. I look forward to coming together again in 2023, refreshed and recharged.
