Dear colleagues,
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Summer Celebration. The energy, connection, and creativity on display were a powerful reminder of what makes this division so special. I especially loved watching our pastry chefs compete in the cake design competition β your talents and spirit are inspiring. (If you haven't already done so, please share your feedback with us by completing this short survey.)
This same energy is alive across campus as we head into O-Week. Many of you are at the heart of this tradition, helping welcome our new students and making them feel at home. Thank you for the care, time, and effort you bring to these moments β they matter.
Amid the excitement, we are also navigating a challenging economic landscape. As we begin this academic year, we must channel the same creativity and collaboration we showed last year into finding new ways to create fiscal flexibility. This means:
- Embracing new and more efficient ways to work
- Partnering with OIT to leverage technology for smarter processes
- Simplifying and streamlining our approach so it's easier for our customers to work with us
The Voluntary Separation Incentive Program (VSIP) provides a unique opportunity β not only for those participating, but for all of us. Itβs a chance to pause, reflect, and ask ourselves: How can we serve better? Where can we simplify? What should we stop, start, or reimagine?
Our collective willingness to adapt will shape our success. I ask each of you to take ownership in your individual role and throughout your area to look for ways to work smarter and help us build a stronger, more agile division that delivers exceptional service to the university community.
Thank you for your dedication, creativity, and support for one another. We are building something remarkable together, and I am proud to be in this work alongside you.
Warmly,
Kelly Fox,
Executive Vice President, Operations, Finance & Support
