The iO Evolution support team has been working hard to create a new governance structure that will bring diverse perspectives and voices to the user experience. The new structure is intended to empower design committees and process partners to work together to create the path forward.
A Steering Committee is being formed to provide timely guidance and decisions in the instances where genuine differences of opinion exist, or significant campus-wide impact will result. This committee will be comprised of and co-chaired by business partners and business advocates. The roles reflect the inclusion of business partners, individuals with detailed system knowledge, and business advocates that have a clear understanding from the perspective of schools and business units. We expect to provide an update about the final governance structure and members by the end of the calendar year.
Additionally, while work on governance continues, the design of key reporting, training and technological enhancements is underway. The full prioritization of first-phase issues is also expected by the end of the calendar year.
These updates will be housed on the new iO EvolutiOn: User Experience website. The site will be regularly updated and provide a good resource for ongoing updates on the user experience timeline. Once the priorities have been finalized, this site will include updates on priority status and people to contact with questions or input.
We thank you for your daily contributions to Rice’s mission and look forward to sharing more information with you soon.
