The Division of Finance and Administration is proud to announce the launch of a national search for the position of Associate Vice President (AVP) of Campus Services and Sustainability. The search underscores F&A’s unwavering commitment to service, student well-being, and sustainability. This role plays a pivotal part in shaping the future of campus services. Equally vital, the AVP will serve as a driving force in guiding the university toward the ambitious goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2030 and creating best-in-class. This role provides leadership to create a holistic service approach while integrating sustainability into the university's daily operations.

To ensure a rigorous and thorough selection process, F&A will leverage the expertise of the search firm Russell Reynolds Associates, as well as an internal committee comprised of esteemed members from the Rice community. Together, they will be responsible for identifying and evaluating candidates with the vision, leadership, and proven experience needed to lead the strategic initiatives and diverse portfolio of campus services and sustainability.

While the search for the AVP is of paramount importance, the search must be thoughtful and comprehensive. Given that, the committee will diligently assess candidates over a four to six-month period to ensure the individual selected will elevate excellence, innovation, and inclusivity.

The job will be posted on the Jobs at Rice website within the next two weeks, and qualified candidates are encouraged to apply early.
