As leadership continues to explore more effective ways of operating, Finance and Administration is pleased to share the following updates regarding the division's structure and operations.
- OIT Joining F&A - Starting July 1, the Office of Information Technology (OIT) will be integrated into the F&A Division. This strategic alignment ensures that a vital campus service provider, dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service and operations, is now under the F&A umbrella. This organizational change is crucial in developing the infrastructure necessary to create a cohesive customer support model. Paul Padley will continue to serve in his current role as Vice President and CIO.
- Campus Safety: Interim Named - Kathryn Cavender has agreed to serve as the interim AVP of Campus Safety. Kathryn has fostered strong relationships with campus leaders, researchers, and staff. She has a strong track record in delivering impactful health and safety initiatives. She will begin serving in this capacity immediately.
- Campus Services and Sustainability: Interim Named - Rick Mello has graciously accepted the interim role as Associate Vice President of Campus Services and Sustainability. Rick brings a wealth of knowledge, expertise, and strong campus partnerships as a direct result of his role in Athletics and his impressive 30-year career. He will begin serving in this role on July 1 following Mark Ditman’s retirement.
- Office of Sustainability - To ensure a simplified customer experience, the newly named Sustainability Operations Office will merge with the Administrative Center for Sustainability and Energy Management under the Office of Sustainability within Campus Services and Sustainability. Richard Johnson will lead this office building on the great work already underway.
