Administrators’ Forum: Fresh Format for FY26

Group of colleagues listening to a presenter speak

The FY26 Administrators’ Forum kicks off on September 23, bringing with it a refreshed format centered on connection, clarity, and university-wide participation. While traditionally seen as a space for administrative updates, the Forum now offers more opportunities for all employees — regardless of title — to connect with university leadership and stay informed on campus-wide initiatives.

The upcoming changes are shaped by feedback from past Admin Forum participants, underscoring a shared commitment to improve communication and engagement across divisions.

What’s New This Year?

The Forum format has been redesigned to better reflect the needs of the Rice community:

  • Streamlined Sessions: Most meetings are now 60 minutes long, making it easier to join and stay engaged.
  • Keynote Speakers: Starting in October, each session will feature a keynote speaker from a different school or division, highlighting strategic initiatives and offering a broader lens on university efforts.
  • More In-Person Engagement: Two Forums this year will be held in person to foster deeper connection and discussion among attendees.
  • Flexible Access: All sessions will be recorded and shared on the Administrators’ Forum webpage so you can watch on your own time.

These updates are designed to make the Forum more accessible, informative, and relevant for all employees, not just those in formal administrative roles. Every voice matters — and both staff and faculty are invited to attend.
